Carton Flow
Its a storage system where cardboard boxes are fed from one side and recovered from the other. This system uses a combination of rails and wheels. The rails are built at a slight incline, higher on the feed side, so the cartons move forward when loaded into the system. Identical product cartons are loaded one behind the other.
The cardboard flows forward under gravity to create a strict “first in, first out” stock rotation. The system is generally used to choose sides.
Carton Flow dynamic storage system offers many advantages in the order preparation process.
